The Association "Casa do Caminho", the first Children's Emergency Unit in the North of Portugal, is a private institution of social solidarity that welcomes CHILDREN (from 0 to 6 years) in danger, victims of abuse, neglect or any other forms of violation to their development or rights.
The event, which was attended by more than 200 volunteers, took place in Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, and managed to assemble a mosaic of 54,000 Origami.
The event was a success, not only by the people involved in the action, but also by the attention that it has brought to the cause and to the economic needs that involve the "protection and nurturing" of the 60 children who are now in the Association.
Within its policy of Social Responsibility and area of intervention, SIGN has supplied the signalling and communication structures at the site of the event.
