The Ballet La Bayadère
In the season in which the National Ballet Company celebrates its fortieth birthday, it brings to the stage the ballet La Bayadère in its integral version, since it’s the last great classic that was missing in the repertoire.
The story, with other 140 years and with a libretto from Sergei Khudekov, tells a story of love, mismatches, betrayal and jealousy of the raja, a warrior, a princess, a fakir, a Hindu high priest and the temple’s ballerina (bayadère).
To take us to this exotic and luxurious world, unique scenarios that call upon India and the Himalayas mountains, where the action takes place, were created.
